Shive Satterfeal Funeral Services Held Sunday

The funeral for Shive Satterfeal, 91, who died on Thursday, was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stensel Funeral Home, the Rev. Bernard Johnson officiating. Burial was in Gilmore Cemetery.

He was born Sept. 27, 1873, in Russell County, Ky. He married Emma Grammer in 1891. He came to LeRoy in 1920 and worked as a farm laborer until his retirement. His wife died in 1950.

Surviving are two sons, Willie, Mansfield; Leo, LeRoy; three daughters, Mrs. Emily Thompson, 114 Greenwood Trailer Court, Bloomington; Mrs. Cora Bailey, Mrs. Sarah Bailey, both LeRoy; 37 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Seven children, a brother and a sister preceded him in death. Mr. Satterfeal was a member of Baptist Church in Kentucky.

Organist was Mrs. Effie Huddlestone. Mrs. Wayne, Farmer City, was soloist. Pallbearers were Lyle Wheeler, Glen Walden, Orval Hart, Taylor Grammer, Herb Miles and Lester Brittin
