Text	Mrs. James E. Sappington died Oct. 4, 1944 at her daughter's, Mrs. Andrew Carlson of Ellsworth. Mary A Sappington was born Aug. 19, 1864 a daughter of James E. and Katherine Carey Wyckoff. She married James E. Sappinfton in Effingham on March 8, 1885. Her husband passed away in 1933. The couple had eight children, seven of whom are living. The surviving children are Frank Sappington, Talpa, Tex., Mrs. Edward Kelley, Michigan, N.D.; James E. Sappington, Edmore, N.D.; Mrs. B.C. Banner, LeRoy; Mrs. Clarence Spratt, LeRoy; Mrs. Andrew Carlson and Mrs. Carrol Brining, LeRoy. A daughter, Mrs. Leslie Epperson, preceded Mrs. Sappington in death. Burial Oak Grove Cemetery.
