OF BISHOP PASSED AWAY FRIDAY AFTERNOON

Funeral Held Monday Morning and Was Largely Attended

Mrs. Barney Westendorf died at the family home near the Bishop church Friday afternoon at 4:30. She had been in failing health for some time with lung trouble. The deceased was a well known young woman who had a host of friends. She was a good Christian mother and beloved by a large circle of friends. In her death the community sustained a loss that will be hard to replace.

Mrs. Westendorf was a daughter of Barney Pruemer and wife and was born on the 10th of October, 1880. Her childhood was spent in St. Francis township. She was united in marriage to Barney Westendorf and to the union four children were born, two boys and two girls, the youngest but a week old. Besides the husband and children she leaves to mourn, her parents, two sisters, Mrs. Anton Deters and Mrs. F. Hoelscher, and two brothers, William and John Pruemer. The funeral took place from the Bishop Catholic church at 9 o'clock Monday morning and was one of the largest attended ever held at Bishop.
