Obituary - Ferd Zerrusen (1894)

F. Zerrusen dies at age 90

Ferd H. Zerrusen, 90, of Teutopolis died at 3 a.m. Friday, November 16, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham.

The funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Catholic Church, Teutopolis, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bauer Funeral Home, Teutopolis, with a parish rosary at 7 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 8 p.m.

Mr. Zerrusen was born March 7, 1984, in Effingham County, the son of Antone and Angela (Schroeder) Zerrusen. He married Mary Pruemer in 1922 in Teutopolis. She died in 1974.

He was a retired farmer, a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, Teutopolis Knights of columbus, and Teutopolis American Legion, and was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his son, Adolph of Teutopolis; daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Dorothy) Brummer and Mrs. Harold (Anna Marie) Niemerg, both of Dieterich; sister, Mrs. Henry (Mary) Deters of Teutopolis; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
