Emma Deters dies Feb. 25

Emma A. Deters, 90, of Effingham died at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 1995, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham.

The funeral was held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Catholic Church, Teutopolis, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bauer Funeral Home, Teutopolis, with a Council of Catholic Women rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a parish wake service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Miss Deters was born March 29, 1904, the daughter of Anton and Elizabeth (Pruemer) Deters.

She was a maid in the Chicago area for many years; a housekeeper in the Effingham area; and a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and St. Francis Council of Catholic Women, both of Teutopolis.

Surviving are her nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
