D. Deters dies at age 86

Dorothy A Deters, 86, of Teutopolis died at 5:10 p.m. Saturday at Lakeland Healthcare Center, Effingham.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Teutopolis, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bauer Funeral Home, Teutopolis, with a 4:30 p.m. council rosary and a 7 p.m. parish wake service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Mrs. Deters was born November 25, 1909, in Bishop Creek, the daughter of Herman and Gertrude (Probst) Brummer. She married Albert J. Deters in 1932 in Bishop Creek. He died in 1988.

She was a homemaker; a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Teutopolis, and St. Francis Council of Catholic Women.

Survivors include two sons, Donald H. and Raymond A. both of Teutopolis; daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Pauletta) Will of Teutopolis and Mrs. Andrew (Betty) Ruholl of Lillyville; three brothers, Cletus Brummer, Raymond Brummer and Leonard Brummer, all of Bishop Creek; one sister, Gertrude Goeckner of Effingham; 19 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter, 1 granddaughter and 5 sisters.
