Emily Thompson

LEROY - Emily Jane Thompson, 77, of LeRoy died at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday (May 16, 1984) at her home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bruce Memorial Home, LeRoy, the Rev. Ralph Helenthal officiating.

Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, at Ben Town, near Holder.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thompson was born July 29, 1906, at Campbellsville, Ky., a daughter of Shive and Emma Grammer Satterfeal. She married John "Jack" Thompson on April 12, 1941, at St. Joseph, Mo. He survives.

Survivors also include one daughter, Jewell Brown of LeRoy; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Bailey of Atlanta, Ill.; and one brother, Leo Satterfeal of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Thompson lived with her family in LeRoy since 1920. She was employed at the former LeRoy Canning Co.

She was a member of the Campbellsville, Ky., Baptist Church.
