CARLSON, Andrew J.
d. Tues., Aug. 2, 1910 at the home of his bro., Charles who lives on a farm 6 miles NE of Le Roy, IL. He shot himself in the head with intent to die.
b. August 10, 1867 in east Gothland, Sweden and came to America with his parents in 1885. He lived in and about Marengo, IL until his marriage.
m. 1894 to Miss Minnie Johnson. They lived on his farm 6 miles N. of Le Roy. Had 2 little girls, Verna aged 16 and Rhoda aged 12 who survive him. His wife die July 5, 1902 and it was a severe blow to him. He took his two girls to his sister, Mrs. John Peterson at Marengo, IL. He rented his farm and did construction work on the interurban near Marengo. A short time ago he came to visit his bro., Charles and to rest and gave no indication of the deed he meditated. Services from Christian Church with burial in Oak Grove Cem.
