Mrs. John Moersdorf. Grandma Moersdorf departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Burford, Sunday morning at 4 o'clock after living to the ripe age of 83 years. She had been a resident of Teutopolis since 1865 and was well known to our older citizens. After the death of her husband six yeass ago she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Burford. The deceased was born at Huttingen, Rhein Province, Preusen, in the year 1827, and came to this country with her husband, brother, and sisters in 1865. She was the mother of 6 children, Theodore, Anna Marie, Susanna, Nicolas, Mrs. Christ Nosbisch and Mrs. John Burford, the last two named surviving her. About 10 years ago her eye-sight began to fail her and for the last eight years she has been totally blind, but she bore her affliction with great patients and never complaint. For the past two months her health failed her and she gradually grew worse until relieved by death from her sufferings. Besides her daughters she leaves to mourn two sisters Mrs. Frank Drendel of Cullom and Mrs. Mary Hartman of Millstadt and one brother Bartel Schlader of Uniontown, Wash. The funeral took place from the Catholic church Tuesday morning and was well attended. Card of Thanks. We take this method of extending our heartfelt thanks to Rev. Father Casimir, the kind neighbors and friends |
