Amos Wagers
Amos Wagers, 72, died at 11 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at Brokaw Hospital, Normal where he had been a patient several weeks.
His funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Stensels Funeral Home, Leroy, with the Rev. Robert Swain officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 2, 1902, at Bloomington, a son of William and Lula Tudor Wagers. He married Francis Carlson May 24, 1930, at Bloomington.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Anita, at home; a son Richard, rural LeRoy; five grandchildren; a brother, George Wagers, Mahomet.
Three sisters and four brothers preceeded him in death.
He was a member of the LeRoy Sportsman's Club. He had farmed all his life in the Ellsworth area and retired eight years ago and moved to LeRoy.
Organist was Mrs. Gladus Weber and soloist, Ralph Duvick. Casket Bearers were Duane Wagers, Howard Wagers, Lyle Carlson, Darrell Carlson, Donald Carlson and Verdon Cox
